Hey there! I'm Raeann

Let me tell you a bit about myself.

​Health Coaching:

I started as a Personal Trainer in 2002.  In 2017 I earned a Nutrition Certificate as well as a Running Coach Certificate.  I was prepared to coach physical health.  Yet that is not enough for deep health as  consistent exercise and sound nutrition do not happen in isolation. To thrive, wellness should be also considered.  

 

​Wellness Coaching:

Wellness coaching is the other half of deep health and has an impact on how you feel on a daily basis.  Coaching includes getting to know your lifestyle, environment, stress factors, sleep, etc., areas that when addressed makes you thrive.  

 

​As a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach since 2023, working together, we can help you be your best self.  â€‹â€‹

  • How to recognize hunger and reduce unhealthy eating.

​Custom Strength and Running Programs

I build custom strength and running programs tailored to your goals. Some examples of things I can help you with include:

 

  • Identifying what fitness goals that are important to you

  • Training for a specific event

  • Creating a race nutrition strategy for longer events like half-marathon distance and up

​Wellness

Wellness coaching includes stress management and emotional regulation. Some examples of things I can help you with include:

 

  • How to prepare for and tolerate stress

  • How to improve sleep

  • How to regulate emotions

  • How to increase self-awareness

I started with Raeann at one of the saddest and difficult times in my life. My husband was terminally ill and myself and my family were trying to accompany him and look after him as much as we could. He was in a care home but still needed a lot of support and accompaniment. My stress level was very high and even though I look after myself sometimes my routines were challenged such as food was not carefully chosen and sometimes driven by emotions..

Raeann offered me support, knowledge and power about my choices. She made me more aware of how much  room for improvement I had in my day to day for self care.  Raeann is funny, patient, affirming, empathetic and supportive. She walked with me from where I was to a much more empowered place.  After twelve sessions,  I am more aware of the importance not only of what I eat but also about how much protein I need in relation to carbs and fat. “I just completed Raeann’s 3-month strength training program and I’m so glad I did!  Since menopause, I have struggled with my energy levels. I knew I needed to start working out in a different way, but wasn’t sure what kind and combination of exercises was best for me. I was lifting weights, but without a program or plan, so I was not using my workout time or my energy efficiently. Raeann helped me realize how important it is to have a plan for my specific goals, especially given the amount of time I have to exercise. She also helped me plan to eat right after workouts. Raeann created custom programs for me that are enjoyable and just the right amount of challenge. I can work out at home or at the gym and get a whole-body workout in, including stretches and recovery in a reasonable amount of time for me. Raeann has good reasons, based on research and experience for everything she recommends, like time between sets and exercises. These are things I was ignoring or taking for granted before. Raeann adapted my program each week if I needed modifications and this made the workouts flexible, and variable, so I can use these workouts after finishing the coaching program. Raeann is knowledgeable, approachable, supportive, and down to earth, and I’d recommend her to anyone that is ready to make positive changes in their health and wellbeing.  Thank you, Raeann, for helping me with a good start to 2025!
